Reading a peptide COA: verify the sample before the numbers

Check identifiers, methods, units, issue date and revision in order to keep the results in context.

Identify the sample behind the report

Match the report number, sample name and lot to your submission. Results from different lots or samples are not interchangeable. Supplier analytical records also commonly link a product to a specific lot. [1]

Read the method and units together

Read the test, result, units and method as a set. Purity percentages, content percentages and mass-based results cannot be compared by numerical size alone. Ask the issuer to clarify any undefined measurement. [2]

Check the current publication status

LANHENG request references differ from report numbers. Use your report number and individual access code to retrieve the published PDF and check its issue date and revision. Withdrawal or a code reset can invalidate previous access; contact our team for confirmation.
